Speaker Mics and Earpieces

A speaker mic lets the radio ride on your belt or pack while you talk from your shoulder. Earpieces keep traffic private and are easier to hear in wind and traffic.

Most Baofeng and BTECH handhelds use the two-pin Kenwood-style (K1) plug, but not all of them do. Bluetooth radios like the UV-PRO and GMRS-PRO can also pair with wireless mics and PTT buttons.

Questions

Which plug does my radio use?

Many Baofeng and BTECH handhelds use the two-pin K1 plug, but some models use their own connector. Check the radio filter or the listing's compatibility.

Can I use a Bluetooth headset with my radio?

Only with radios that support it, like BTECH's UV-PRO and GMRS-PRO. Wired-only radios need a wired mic or earpiece.
