About NodakMesh
Building North Dakota's off-grid communication network, one node at a time.
Our Mission
NodakMesh is a community-driven initiative to build resilient, off-grid communication infrastructure across North Dakota. In a state known for vast distances and harsh weather, reliable communication is essential.
We believe everyone should have access to communication tools that don't depend on cell towers, internet service, or commercial infrastructure. Using LoRa mesh technology, we're creating a network that works when traditional systems fail.
Whether you're a farmer needing to coordinate across your land, an outdoor enthusiast exploring the Badlands, or someone who values emergency preparedness, NodakMesh is here to help you stay connected.

Why Mesh Networking in North Dakota?
Rural Coverage Gaps
North Dakota ranks among the most rural states. Cell coverage is spotty at best in many areas. Mesh fills the gaps.
Extreme Weather
Blizzards, floods, and severe storms can knock out traditional communications. Mesh networks keep working.
Zero Monthly Cost
After initial equipment cost, mesh communication is free. No subscriptions, no cell bills, no internet required.
Get Involved
NodakMesh is powered by volunteers and community members. Here's how you can help:
Run a Node
Set up a node at your location to extend coverage and help the network grow.
Host a Repeater
Have a tall building or tower? Host a solar-powered repeater for maximum coverage.
Spread the Word
Tell friends, family, and neighbors about mesh networking. More nodes = better network.
